And as I was watching, I saw a fourth wild animal that was astonishing, frightening, and huge. It had teeth of iron that were mighty for eating and crushing, and it trampled the others with its feet.  It was very different from the wild animals that had come before it , and  this one had ten horns.  8 Then as I was looking at its horns, another small horn came up in the midst of them, which pushed out the three horns that were in front of it. {Look!} This horn had the eyes of a man, and it started saying grandiose things.  이상 다니엘7장7절과8절의 내용;이성구는 신바빌로니아가 멸망한뒤 앞으로 일어날 4개의 세계강국들의 흐름을 보여준다.  이들 강국들중 우리의 관심을끄는 야수(짐승)는 네번째 야수(짐승)이다. 왜냐하면 7절설명에 따르면 이전의 여러 야수들과 전혀 모양이 다르기 때문이다.  이짐승의 특징은 다음과같다. 이야수는 놀랍고,무섭게생겼고,거대하다! 그런데 다니엘은 이야수를 땅에있는 어떤동물의 형상으로 빗대어 설명하지 않았다. 따라서 이야수는 메데-페르시아제국과 그리스제국과 로마제국과 전혀 다르게 생겨야한다.   《이야수는 열뿔을갖고있다.("this one had ten horns".)》이표현이 매우 의미심장하다. 만약 이두려움을 갖게하는 거대한 야수가 열뿔을 갖고있다면 이 넷째 야수는 영-미제국일 수 가없다. 영국과 미국은 열뿔(세상의모든나라)을 갖고있지않다.  대영제국이 지배하던 영역에서 수많은 신생독립국가들이 탄생한것은 사
